Once upon a time, my husband and I took vacations.
When we got married, my aunt gave us the best advice – take vacations every year before you have kids. We took that advice to heart and for the first 5 years of our marriage we vacationed every summer, mostly to Seagrove Beach, Florida but also on a Southern Caribbean cruise and to Hawaii to celebrate big events. They were wonderful and looking back we are so thankful we did.
A year ago today, we were boarding a plane, actually several, to Hawaii to celebrate my graduation from grad school and our 5th wedding anniversary (we also knew that would be our last vacation just the two of us for a while ;) ). I’m not telling you this to brag or to make you jealous. I’m just wanting to remember that phase in our life. So, in memory of that trip and because I never did anything with the pictures I took, I wanted to post some of my favorites.Views from our balcony
